Do you want to have an outdoor, nature experience without having to cook on an open fire or miss your daily coffee/s?
Tall Trees Camping in Moggs Creek is only 5 minutes drive from Aireys Inlet and 20 minutes from both Anglesea and Lorne.
There are HEAPS of great foodie options nearby.
Here are my favourites:
If you’re like me and prefer non-dairy milk in your coffee, you’ll love Onda Foodhouse. You can have dairy, soy, almond or coconut milk plus they have heaps of super tasty vegan and sugar-free treats. Healthy right?! There is seating outside by the river with space for kids and dogs.
I love the breakfast and lunch menus at Truffles – it’s varied and not too expensive. They always have some tempting specials – smoked trout bruschetta or beef rendang pie. There’s a small deli here and they sell local wines as well. Food and drinks are available for takeaway.
The Aireys Pub is an iconic coastal pub, with a large grassy outdoor area where the kids can run wild while you sip a pint of Aireys Rogue Wave Pale Ale. There is heaps of outdoor seating and a huge roaring fire is in the bar area. Live music on Saturday nights too. The menu is some typical pub fare – chicken parmigiana, fish and chips, but with some interesting additions – cauliflower salad or a vegetarian quesadilla.
A La Grecque
A La Grecque is an Australian-Greek restaurant very at home on the Great Ocean Road in Aireys Inlet. The food is delicious and the service super friendly. You can try Greek wine here too!
Captains of Aireys
Pizza anyone? Captain of Aireys serves delicious thin crust pizzas with great toppings. They also sell ice-cream and do brunch on the weekends. It’s a super easy option with kids and if you don’t feel like eating in, take-away your pizza to the beach or back to Tall Trees.
A fabulous restaurant serving an Asian inspired menu, with lots of sharing plates. Open for lunch and dinner and for special events. Little Feast also do amazing catering and deliver to Tall Trees Camping 🙂
